Hard rockers The Quireboys will be appearing in concert at Harpenden Public Halls.

They will be performing an Unplugged Sessions show at the Southdown Road venue on Thursday, May 30.

With a sound that harks back to the 70s heyday of The Faces, Stones, Slade and Mott The Hoople, The Quireboys have always remained true to their rock'n'roll roots from the start.

The Quireboys formed in London in 1984, and enjoyed success when their debut album, A Bit of What You Fancy, reached number two in the UK charts.

The band broke up in 1993, but briefly reformed to play live in 1995 with different members.

A more permanent reformation came in 2001 when frontman Spike and guitarist Guy Griffin put together a new line-up.

Since then they have released several more albums, with their latest, Amazing Disgrace, being released only last month.

Tickets for their Harpenden show cost £16. Doors open at 7pm.
