Dan Kostadinov sunk six three pointers as Oaklands Wolves reached the quarter-finals of the U18 National Cup - beating Ipswich 97-88.
Liam Jefferson's side are the only team in the competition who do not play in a league, with the players turning out in the senior divisions of the National League, and they have had to win on the road four times on their way to a home last eight.
Kostadinov scored from downtown to get Wolves off the mark, and went on to lead his side with 27 points, Emmanuel Orisunmibola adding 20 and Aydan Moloney 15.
Ipswich shaded a high-scoring first period 28-27 before a 32-24 second frame saw Wolves take a seven point lead into the locker room at half-time.
And they won each of the third and fourth quarters by a point to seal the win.
One day earlier, the majority of the U18 side make the short trip to University of Herts where they went down 104-85 against hosts Storm despite a 37-point haul from La'Quarne Sayles.
Wolves matched the university team in the first half, sharing 40 opening quarter points before going into the half-time break 47-45 ahead.
But a 23-16 third period put Storm in control and they wrapped up the victory with a 36-22 fourth period.
Lanre Pratt added 16 points and Moloney nine
There was also a derby defeat for Wolves' Division Two women's side as they suffered a heart-breaking 41-40 home loss against Hemel Storm.
Shanice Beckford-Norton's side looked to have survived a second period drought where they scored only one point in nine minutes, and they had a chance to win the game before Paris Mitchell-Tyson's lay-up fell short.
Caitlin Ryan hit a triple to open the scoring for Wolves and they led 11-8 at the first break before suffering a scoring slump in the second period to trail 22-15 at half-time with only Malia Lawal scoring from open play.
Tiff Tyson scored from downtown to get Wolves' offence moving in the second half, but they could only share 22 third period points to still trail by seven at the final break.
Ryan narrowed the gap with a three to open the fourth period but they had left themselves too much to do as Amye Swinney missed a pair at the foul line to allow Storm to take the win.
Captain Ryan led Wolves with ten points five assists, four steals and three blocks while Amye Swinney had nine points and 11 blocks.
Ella Brown had seven points and as many rebounds.
Both men's senior league teams are at home this weekend with Wolves Division Three team hosting Birmingham City University at 7pm and the Conference (fourth division) team facing league leaders Anglia Ruskin University at 4pm.
Wolves' Super League team return to action after and international break that saw four of their side represent their respective countries in EuroBasket Women's qualifying games, and they will make the trip to Leicester Riders on Saturday afternoon.
The teams have already met in the Trophy this season with Wolves running out 76-69 winners on their way to a place in the semi-finals.
While Lee Ryan's team are unbeaten in all competitions this season, Riders have a 2-2 league record having suffered a shock defeat at Cardiff on Saturday as the Welsh team won their first game of the campaign having gone winless throughout the entire 2023-24 season.
Wolves Division Two women are also on the road as they as travel to Ipswich on Sunday afternoon looking to reignite their promotion push after the loss against Hemel.
