Strafford Arms flew to the top of the Hertfordshire 1961 Sunday League Premier Division in incredible style.
They hammered Mermaid 12-0 to move to go two points above Six Bells.
Matt Walsh lead the way with six while there were doubles for both Jacob Noonan and Chris Blunden.
Sam Doolan and Harry Shepherd completed the rout.
Six Bells Res were also in fine scoring form in Division One, winning 7-1 against 6 of Herts. Their goals came from Marino Savva (two), Jack Lodge, Niall Lysaght, Kai Neill, Max O’Shea and Liam Griffin.
Jervon Campbell replied for Herts.
Goals from Darrell Allen, Jon Baynes and Tino Madziya couldn’t save Little Heath from
going down 6-3 against Strafford Arms Res.
In Division Two, second placed Saints held onto their unbeaten record with a 5-0 win over Crown. Cillian Webb (two), James Lawrence, Cameron Leijgrave and Ryan Solly got the goals.
Robert Handleigh and Ryan Harrington were two of St Georges goalscorers in their 3-2 win
against winless Mermaid Res.
Harpenden Colts OB fell to their first league defeat when going down 4-1 against AFC Boot. Tom Bullock scored their lone goal.
Two goals from Stuart Henderson plus a Jon Tanton single edged TNF home 3-2 against Leverstock Green CC in Division Three.
Cairo Britton and Alfie George scored for the Green.
Welwyn Warriors Res are still looking for their first league win of the year but they picked up a point in a 3-3 draw with Stotford Rovers.
Their goals came from John Woodward, Tim Chesworth and Alex Acklam.
Wheathampstead ‘89 gained revenge over Herts Vets for an earlier defeat with a 4-3 win thanks to goals from Paul Gambrill, Tom Simmonds, James Watt and Ian Shaw.
Division Four leaders Hopfields defeated bottom dogs Little Heath Res 10-0 with seven players on the scoresheet.
Tommy Evans, Will Orridge and Alex Pratten each got two while Hadley Grazette, Lyes Tagzairia, Cameron Clark and Kian Khatini got the others.
Marshalswick Rovers came out 6-5 on top against Hatfield Seniors thanks to goals from Harry Parker, Alistair Bart, Ahmed Jarad, Matthew Nash and David Watts.
The Seniors' goals came from Kian Bell (two), Tyler Buzcey and Sam Cole.
Royston Rangers Res made it five league games unbeaten with a 5-3 success over Monday Night.
The goals were scored by Nicholas Curtis (two), Billy Smith, Connor Smith and Jay Williams while Tshepo La-Elohim Khara (two) and Jake Downes scored for MNF.
Unbeaten Phoenix ‘A’ kept up their push for top honours when defeating London Colney United 5-1 with Sam Bozier scoring his first hat-trick of the season.
Sam McCord and Ross Whinnett completed the scoring and Ben Hobden replied for United.
In the Herts Senior Cup, goals by Pat Sheehy and Timi Erinle edged Wheathampstead Wanderers into the next round with a 2-1 win against Southbury.
Brookmans Park could only muster up a Callum Baylis goal when going down 2-1 against Hertford Stags.
Two goals apiece from Jack McShane and Frankie Jowle edged Six Bells into the next
round following their 4-0 win over Cassiobury Rangers.
In the Jim Lynch Trophy, Royston Rangers and Phoenix Res shared eight goals before Rangers won the penalty shoot-out 3-2.
Normal time goals for Rangers came via a hat-trick by William Ayriss and a Ryan Lawyer single.
Phoenix reply came from Jack Gage, Dan Kitchener and Gabriel Dunkley.
In the Junior Cup, Oceans XI and Hatfield Comets fought out a 3-3 draw before Comets won 3-2 in the penalty shoot-out.
Scorers for Comets were Zlatko Murphy (two) and Prince Bigama while for Oceans it was Josh Bell (two) and George Thomas.
