There were mixed results from three tough games for the young footballers of St Albans Primary Schools FA.
The one winners were the U10 development squad who won 4-3 away to Newbury U11s in a representative match.
Goals from Theo Callum, Thomas Wainer, Jacob Burtt and Oscar Poole made it a nice journey home.
Poole was also named player of the match.
The girls hosted Wokingham in the Southern Counties League and lost 5-0.
The game was much tighter than that though, with the girls competing for the majority of the contest.
Player of the match was Ella Huckle.
The Yellows also hosted Wokingham in the Southern Counties League and they too lost, beaten 5-3 in an end to end game.
They played some great football but were caught on the break three times.
Franky Osborne (two) and Sam Norton got their goals while the star man was Tom Nicholson-Wolfe, although it could have gone to anyone of them.
A spokesman said: "It was their best performance of the season against a strong side. Well done to all the young Saints."
