Harpenden Town's women put their FA Cup disappointment behind them by instantly gaining revenge on Biggleswade United.
United had beaten Harps on penalties one week earlier but it was Harpenden who picked up the 3-2 win in the Eastern Region Division One North, leaving them top of the table with three wins from three.
All the goals came in the second period and Town had to twice come from behind to claim the three points.
Both sides had chances in the first half, the best of Harpenden's efforts coming from a Belle Shannon free-kick, superbly saved by Amy Butler, and then a thunderous drive from Sophia Amanor which smashed off the crossbar.
United's Ruth Fox had two shots on the Harps goal early into the second half, the first well saved by Sophie Harris, but those were just range finders as she finally found the net after Harpenden have given the ball away in defence.
Harps drew level after good work by Jaime Curtain, her surge into the box creating space for Amanor to fire through the legs of Amy Butler.
But parity did not last long, Kayleigh Gray this time getting onto another defensive lapse from Harpenden to make it 2-1.
Play went back and forth before Harpenden drew level again, this time an excellent free-kick from the left by Chloe Dinsey who fooled everyone into thinking she was going to cross it, only to smash it into the top corner.
And with the tails now up, Harpenden got in front for the first time when Amanor played the ball through to Jasmine Hughes.
She dummied Butler into going one way while she put the ball the other, giving the three points to Town.
Harpenden's men, however, suffered a horror show in their Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division match at MK Irish, losing 8-0 to the new leaders of the division who have won six from six so far.
It didn't help having goalkeeper Connor Coulson sent off on 29 minutes for handling outside the area although they were 3-0 down by that point.
Dave Keenleyside went in goal with no replacement keeper on the bench and despite some good stops, couldn't prevent MK running riot.
Colney Heath, who are next in the Irish firing line, also fell to defeat, beaten 2-1 at home by Tring Athletic.
Their first half had been a different story though, leading 1-0 at the break.
With George Sippetts departed for pastures new up the pyramid, Billy Owen spearheaded the attack and he went close early, his low shot saved by Dan Gould.
But he grabbed his fourth of the season on 13 minutes.
Good play down the left from Lee Dykes and Joseph Caffery created an initial chance for Jamie Fulton and when his shot was blocked, Owen pounced on the rebound.
George Hughes and Owen went close to adding a second but they had to be content with just the one at the interval.
Caffery had a firm strike tipped around the post by Gould in the second half and they felt they should have had a penalty when Hughes went down in a challenge with Gould.
Those complaints were still being heard when Tring went up the other end and equalised, former Magpie Harry Shepherd's attempt, spiralling off Sam Doolan and beating Connor Sansom in the home net.
Both sides went in search of the winner but it was the visitors who got the luck again late on.
A free-kick into the box by Max Hercules was spilled under pressure by Sansom and Benjamin Kokembo bundled in Tring's second.
Back in the Eastern Region Women's League, Colney Heath's ladies lost for the first time in Division One South.
They went down 3-2 at Hertford Town, Samaira Khan and Bora Cela getting the goals.
London Colney were beaten 5-1 away to Wellingborough Whitworth in Division One of the SSML.
