Batchwood Hall Bowling Club brought the curtain down on a hugely successful summer season.
The final act for the St Albans club was a traditional end of season celebration followed by a lunch.
One of the highlights of the day was club president Beryl Birch presenting a cheque to Doreen Beattie a representative from Rennie Grove Hospice Care, the chosen charity of the 2023 season.
She gave a brief explanation of the great work the charity does, supporting families and friends from the very start to the very end and after.
They provide patient centered palliative care for all those who need it at home or in the hospice in the counties of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
In July of this year Rennie Grove joined together with three other charities and are now known as Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
Batchwood were able to raise a total of £900, gathered during various bowling and social events throughout the year.
