A football team from a school in St Albans are one step away from an appearance at Wembley Stadium after securing an area title.
Beaumont School U13 girls started their assault on the EFL Cup in November when they played in the local round of the competition, hosted by Watford at their training ground in London Colney.
They beat Chancellors 3-0 in the final 3-0 and sent them to the area finals at Walsall.
And in strips provided to them by the Hornets, Beaumont topped their group, going unbeaten against Luton Town, Swindon Town, Coventry City and West Brom, before beating the hosts 3-0 in the semi-final.
And they came from a goal down to win 3-1 against Reading and move through to the national south finals.
Andy Tolley of the PE department said: "This is a huge achievement for one of our most talented teams after a good showing in the National Cup last year.
"We know the girls will gain experiences to last a lifetime from this run in the competition and they are now one step away from playing at Wembley Stadium.
"Huge credit to Miss Treadwell, who has been integral in helping develop the girls' football teams and also to Mr Stewart for his help too."
