A fresh round of public notices have been published for St Albans residents and Harpenden residents.
As ever, we're rounding up five planning applications that could affect the district in the coming weeks and months.

1. New pizza oven for incoming St Albans restaurant
An application has been submitted for the installation of pizza oven flue at the rear of 145a Victoria Street St Albans.

2. New sixth form teaching block at Harpenden school
Plans have been submitted for a two storey Sixth form teaching block, providing three classrooms and WC's on the ground floor and Sixth Form social and study on the first floor.
Additional construction includes sloped access to a new decking area.
The application was submitted on behalf of Katherine Warington School in Harpenden.

3. Demolition of 20th century extensions in St Albans
These plans see the demolition of 20th century extensions and construction of a part two storey and part single storey rear extension with internal alterations.
All changes concern the property at 163 Verulam Road St Albans.

4. Construction of new home and parking in St Albans
Plans have been submitted for the construction of a new single-storey home in St Albans.
Under the plans, there will be associated work including parking and landscaping at land adjacent to at 1 Watford Road.

5. External and internal alterations to grade II listed barn
Finally, an application has been submitted for external and internal alterations to a Grade II Listed for a Barn conversion including installation of underfloor heating, replacement of existing double story glazing with a more energy efficient screen, alterations to the kitchen/ utility.
Further alterations include a store layout to enlarge the existing kitchen to allow for more usable family spaces and changes to the existing modern detached garage including alterations to the roof to provide accessible space over the garage.
The proposal also includes the installation of solar generation to reduce the properties energy usage at Ayres End Barn at Ayres End Lane, Harpenden.
