There are long delays in St Albans this morning (December 4) after temporary traffic lights failed.
Traffic is queuing in both directions on the A1057 Hatfield Road, with motorists reporting issues the lights put in place for planned Affinity Water works not changing from red.
According to a spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council, the temporary traffic lights failed overnight, leading to long delays this morning.
"Affinity Water are carrying out works on Hatfield Road, near Acrewood Way, under temporary traffic lights," the spokesperson said.
"Unfortunately the lights appear to have failed overnight, leading to long delays this morning.
"Affinity Water have been informed and we hope that the issued will be resolved soon."
