The popular Carols Till Closing is returning for its 11th year bringing festive cheer to St Albans pubs this December.

The festive initiative is kicking off its ten-pub St Albans tour tonight at The Boot.

Each event begins at 8pm until the pub's closing time with live piano accompaniment, encouraging listeners to join in (song sheets are provided).

This year, carollers will be sending further proceeds to Herts Young Homeless too.

Fr Richard Watson, the host of the events said: "Well it seems we have accidentally a festive monster!

"This must be the 11th year of Carols Till Closing having missed 2020 and 2021 due to the C word (ssshh). Last year we racked up eight pubs and I vowed I couldn't possibly more... and so of course this year we have the perfect 10!"

Punters hoping to catch a glimpse of the festive singalong have been warned to reserve in advance.

Richard added: "Some of the pubs have already booked out all their tables so there's standing room only - and some have taken out the tables altogether!"
