An important St Albans road will be shut for the "majority of the day" for an emergency closure.
According to Fircroft Tree Surgery Ltd, an emergency closure has been implemented on the A1081 between Heathlands Drive and the Harvester/Beech Road Junction.
A Facebook post by the company reads: "Due to emergency highway tree works the A1081 between Heathlands Drive and the Harvester/Beech Road Junction will be closed for the majority of the day. Please share and avoid the area!
"We apologise for the inconvenience. Please direct any enquiries to: Trees@stalbans.gov.uk"
