Beaumont, Sandringham, and Verulam schools are now using electric minibuses.
The BeauSandVer Consortium in St Albans, which has provided post-16 education for nearly three decades, is behind this initiative.
The consortium believes that collaboration among the three schools "offers a broader education and more opportunities for pupils".
Each year, around 50 pupils from each school move between the institutions to study.

The new electric vehicles are set to enhance this arrangement while also supporting the schools' pledge for a more environmentally-friendly transport system.
The electric minibuses are expected to make the schools' provision for consorting students more eco-friendly.
This collaborative approach is aimed at benefiting the wider community and helping students to reach their potential.
