A road in Park Street has been closed for five days due to emergency gas repair work resulting in longer commute times.
Tippendell Lane is expected to be closed until December 2 amid emergency roadworks that began at 8pm on November 26.
The closure means that the only way out of the area is through Park Street village, putting a further stain on the already congested Watling Street, leading up to the Park Street roundabout.
Residents near Tippendell Lane were surprised to find the road closed after no warning or information was provided prior to the closure.
These repairs can take time to resolve to ensure the safety of the residents in the surrounding area.
The roadworks are likely to cause delays to people’s journeys so it is advised to allocate extra time before setting off.
