Officers have seized a vehicle in connection to multiple shoplifting offences in St Albans, after the driver was caught without the correct documentation.
The car pictured below was suspected to be involved in ongoing shoplifting incidents in the area.
Herts police's proactive shoplifting team found the vehicle this morning and brought it to a halt.
A subsequent search of the driver and the vehicle revealed no stolen items, however the driver did not have insurance or a driving licence.
The car was also found to have a dangerous tyre defect and was seized, while its driver was reported for three driving offences.
A Facebook post by St Albans Police read: "If you’re driving without insurance, a license and have your vehicle in a dangerous condition, your vehicle will be seized.
"This driver is now finding alternative ways home!" The post added.
