Hertfordshire residents woke up to the sight of a white blanket covering the county, but is the unexpected snow fall set to continue?
According to the Met Office, snow is set to turn into rain later in the day, with temperatures only getting as high as 3°C.
The cold will continue into Wednesday, with freezing temperatures of -1° overnight dropping even further to -2° in the early hours of Thursday.
As for the snow, no more is expected to fall on Hertfordshire for the rest of the week, with the weather set to improve.
