Harpenden Town Council has issued a Banking Hub update following its exciting announcement in September.
The town council is currently working with Cash Access UK, the organisation responsible for delivering Banking Hubs, to ensure the successful installation of this "vital community asset".
As the local lead in delivering this facility, the council's priority is to ensure that the banking hub will be centrally located, accessible and open to individual and business customers as quickly as possible.
The permanent Banking Hub is set to open within the next 12 and the council promise "we will be doing what we can to make it happen in that timeframe".
A spokesperson added: "Establishing a permanent Banking Hub will require various confidential discussions with prospective landlords and other relevant partners and we will not be in a position to share certain information, including information regarding potential locations of the Banking Hub until appropriate agreements are in place."

Work to find a location for a permanent Banking Hub has begun and details are being finalised for an interim hub which will see vital banking services available to local people and businesses ahead of a permanent opening.
"A provision of face-to-face full banking services is critical to our High Street and thriving Town and we are delighted that our public engagement and lobbying campaign will lead to successful implementation of this," a spokesperson said.
