After news of its arrival, a new "wood fired artisan pizza" restaurant near St Albans city centre has applied for an alcohol licence.
Pizzayo's is "coming soon" to Victoria Street, moving into the unit previously occupied by a short-lived coffee shop and Smart Tech.
In the latest update, an applicant has requested permission for the supply of alcohol on/off the premises: Monday to Sunday from midday to 11pm.
The application also confirmed the restaurant's opening hours will be Monday to Sunday from 11am until 11pm.
Last week, a sign appeared above the vacant unit advertising the new pizzeria and a fresh Instagram account suggested that the new spot will provide pizza, coffee and wine.
A new post by @pizzayosuk on Instagram reads: "We're Opening Soon! We're getting ready to bring a new pizza experience to the heart of St. Albans! Crafted with the freshest ingredients, baked in a traditional stone oven, and enhanced with creative twists, our pizzas will offer a taste like no other."
"While our doors aren’t open yet, we’re excited to welcome you very soon," the post added.
"Stay tuned and be the first to know about our grand opening! In just a short while, you'll be able to enjoy delicious moments with your loved ones in our warm and inviting atmosphere."
An application for a pizza oven flue has also been submitted to the district council.
