A St Albans nursery with an "inspirational curriculum" has been rated outstanding by Ofsted.
Muriel Green Nursery School has received an upgrade from its previous 'good' rating in 2022.
Ofsted said "children thrive in this nurturing and rich learning environment" while conducting a two-day inspection in October.
Day care manager Suzie Wells said: "It was a true pleasure to share Muriel Green with Ofsted, showcasing the high standards we uphold every day. Seeing the children beam with pride as they showed off their activities and learning environments was the highlight of it all.
"Thank you to our incredible staff, our wonderful families, and of course, our amazing children—this outstanding rating belongs to all of us! This achievement has been made possible not only through the hard work within our setting but also through the invaluable shared resources, support, and expertise of being part of Roots Federation."
The education watchdog highlighted that leaders and staff plan and implement an "inspirational curriculum" that is built around the "needs of each child".
During the inspection Ofsted said: "Staff create an environment where all children consistently receive high-quality learning experiences.
"They provide children with numerous opportunities to extend their knowledge and skills, such as counting, weighing and mark making."
In regard to SEND provision at Muriel Green, Ofsted believed that they are "supported by passionate and experienced staff".
"This ensures that all children receive the highest standard of teaching, which is adapted to their level of learning," the report added.
Muriel Green pupils were deemed to demonstrate "highly positive" attitudes to learning with "outdoor learning" a priority for the school as they host a "super learning environment".
Pupils also learn respect through "model" behaviour from staff at the school.
The nursery's management team was praised as "extremely strong and dedicated to its role" in addition to forming "excellent partnerships" with parents.
