This Christmas, St Albans is set to make history with an exciting, festive world record attempt.
St Albans Postboxes has planned for 92 woolly postbox toppers across the city and surrounding district — the highest number ever displayed in one town.
“We’re thrilled to be attempting a world record this year,” said co-founder Clare Suttie.
“Our toppers not only bring joy to residents and visitors but also generate much-needed funds for local causes that make a real difference in the community.”
Since 2018, St Albans Postboxes has been spreading festive cheer while raising over £120,000 for local charities.
This year, the team behind the community-driven event is aiming even higher with a record-breaking amount, showcasing both new designs and beloved classics, all hand-crafted, to transform the city into a winter wonderland.
Proceeds from this year's event will benefit two incredible charities: Up on Downs and Gaddesden Place Riding for the Disabled.
