Multiple "overweight vehicles" have been checked by police in St Albans with one van displaying serious damage. 

Bedfordshire Cambridge and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit carried out several checks on "overweight vehicles" in St Albans today.

"Multiple overweight vehicles dealt with, but one van found to have chassis seriously corroded," the post added.

One vehicle has been prohibited from driving and the driver was reported.
