As another week comes to an end, a fresh round of public notices have been published for St Albans residents.
As ever, we're rounding up five planning applications that could affect the district in the coming weeks and months.

1. New two-storey building at St Albans school
Plans have been submitted for a new two storey teaching block at The Marlborough Science Academy, St Albans.
Proposals include five general classrooms, two IT classrooms, faculty office, small meeting room and accessible WC.
Other associated adjustments to hard and soft landscaping will be made.

2. Apartment Block in Wheathampstead
An application has vbeen made to develop a site to provide retirement living on land to the south of Codicote Road and Cory-Wright Way, Wheathampstead.
Under the plans, there will be a change of use and the construction of a 33 unit apartment block and 13 bungalows.
Associated access alterations, and landscaping works will also be made alongside a the erection of a communal garden.

3. 6m deep extension at listed building
A proposal has been submitted for the construction of a 6m deep single storey rear extension at a Winches Farm, 5 Kay Walk in St Albans.
Plans also outline the demolition and rebuild of a conservatory, enlargement and replacement of an existing side door and window, insertion of pocket flank to the window and other minor landscape changes.

4. Major changes to St Albans home
An application for the demolition of an outbuilding and the construction of single storey front extension has been submitted to the district council.

Plans have been submitted for the construction of front, side and rear pitched roof dormers at the Strutt & Parker unit at 16 - 18 High Street, Harpenden.
