A road has been closed due to an emergency incident near St Albans city centre.
Lemsford Road has been closed by St Albans Police after an "emergency medical incident".
A spokesperson for Herts police said: "We were called at around 4.10pm to reports of a medical emergency on Lemsford Road in St Albans.
"The East of England Ambulance Service are attending the scene also as well as the fire service.
"A helimed was also dispatched for this incident."
An eyewitness reported seeing an air ambulance come and leave the area in addition to fire engines on Lemsford and Beaconsfield Road.
According to Google Maps traffic is building in the area, particularly along Hatfield Road.
