A Hertfordshire road will be closed for up to six days due to electrical work at a local pub.
Emergency repairs are taking place on Flamstead High Street outside the newly reopened Spotted Dog pub.
In a Facebook post this morning, The Spotted Dog said: "Apologies for the last minute notice but apparently the electricity company are coming tomorrow to fix our electricity. This unfortunately means digging up the road and closing it.
"Once again we apologise for the inconvenience this will cause to the village but have been mindful to badger them to fix it quickly as Remembrance Parades and Generator noise do not mix!" the post added.
According to Herts Highways, UK Power Networks is currently carrying out emergency repair works under 24/7 road closure on High Street, Flamstead outside the Spotted Dog pub.
The works are expected to take place from Wednesday, October 30 to Tuesday, November 5.
