A beloved Indian Restaurant in St Albans has been named the best in the region at a prestigious award ceremony.

Nouvellè Lounge, of Marshalswick, has pipped its competitors to the post winning 'Restaurant of the Year 2024' in Southeast England at the Prestige Curry Awards.

"It was mind blowing and overwhelming," owner Mohammed Choudhury, 26, said.

"The team is extremely delighted, we could not have done it without this amazing team, when backs are against the wall they are always trying to deliver the best service."

Mohammed expressed his appreciation for their loyal customers too, suggesting they were pivotal in helping them achieve the award.

The 26-year old was also personally honoured on the day, winning 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year'.

"It is nice to see my hard work recognised too, especially against some of the best," he added.

Nouvellè has not just had recognition from its awards, as the restaurant has previously welcomed visits from famous actors, including Kellie Bright who plays Linda Carter in EastEnders.
