Arrests have been made in St Albans as part of efforts to tackle drug offences in the city.
Officers from Operation Scorpion detained three men and a woman following intelligence from the public, with two offenders already awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty.
Joe Cox, from Ladies Grove, is due to be sentenced at St Albans Crown Court tomorrow (October 25), having pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The 21-year-old was arrested following a drugs raid in Ladies Grove on October 1.
Gavin Sadler pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon, following his arrested on August 18 in Sopwell Lane in St Albans. £7,000 of suspected class A drugs and knives were seized.
The 19-year-old is on remand and waiting to be sentenced.
A vehicle being driven by a 38-year-old woman from St Albans was searched in Cottonmill Lane on October 17, and while no drugs were found, but she was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, namely a flick knife. Enquiries continue.
A 35-year-old man from St Albans was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs on October 10, in King Harry Lane.
He was released on police bail whilst enquiries continue. 30 bags of cannabis and 15 wraps of class A drugs were seized.
St Albans district chief inspector Martin Turpin said: "These are significant arrests in taking drugs off the streets in St Albans.
"Scorpion officers act on information provided by members of the public, so do please let us know if you suspect drugs offences may be happening in your local area.
"You may not see a result straight away, but please be reassured that we do act on the information you provide."
