An appeal for information, witnesses and dash cam footage has been launched following a crash involving a cyclist and a car in Redbourn this morning.
The incident happened on Redbourn Road on the roundabout close to the Redbourn MOT Centre.
A Herts police spokesperson said: "At around 7.20am the cyclist on an electronically assisted pedal bicycle has fallen from the bicycle and onto the roundabout, before a collision occurred with a red Kia Rio."
The cyclist has been identified by police as a man in his 40s who sustained "serious injuries".
He was taken to hospital via air ambulance and is "requiring ongoing treatment".

Police sergeant Matt O’Neill, said: “We’ve been carrying out enquiries since the collision this morning and I am now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. This includes anyone who also saw the events leading up to the collision.
“I would also like to hear from anybody who may have caught what happened on dash cam.
