A cyclist has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car in Redbourn this morning.
The collision involved a man in his 40s and a red Kia Rio near the Redbourn Road roundabout on the A5183, Redbourn, at 7.25am.
Herts Police and the East of England Ambulance Service attended before the man was taken to hospital via air ambulance.
A spokesperson for Herts Police said: "Police were called at around 7.25am to reported of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
"The incident occurred on the roundabout near the Redbourn MOT Centre.
"The East of England Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Service have also attended the scene."
Diversions have been put in place whilst the incident is being dealt with, they added.
According to Herts Highways, there are "long delays" as the A5183 remains part-closed in both direction while emergency services clear the crash site.
