A St Albans dental and surgical centre has received a prestigious national award recognising staff's hard work with implant dentistry.
Alban City Dental & Surgical Centre was awarded the title of best Implant Dentistry Practice in the UK at the 2024 Clinical Dentistry Awards, highlighting its success and expertise in placing and restoring dental implants.
Opened just 19 months ago on Hall Place Gardens, the team is "proud" to be awarded for its commitment to quality private dental care within the Herts community.
Reflecting on the milestone, the company's founder and director, Dr Prakash Promod, expressed his gratitude and pride: "It feels surreal to think that our hard work and dedication has been recognised on a national level."
Dr Promod, who is surgically trained as both a doctor and a dentist, boasts an impressive success rate of over 99% in procedures.
"This award is not just a personal achievement but a reflection of the incredible team who bring joy and positivity to work every day. Everyone plays a crucial role in our success," he added.
The current surgical team collectively brings over 80 years of experience, and have performed thousands of implant procedures, from single-tooth implants to full-mouth rehabilitations.

To do this, a spokesperson said they "utilise cutting-edge technology" to assess patient suitability for dental implants, plan surgeries via "guided technique"s and often place implants at the time of extraction, "significantly reducing treatment time".
The team also expressed "heartfelt thanks" to their patients, acknowledging that their trust and feedback have been "invaluable" in this journey.
Next up is the Private Dentistry Awards in November, where the centre has been selected as a finalist in 10 different categories, bringing their total nominations this year to 16.
