A beloved Indian restaurant in St Albans welcomed a special guest last week, who paid a surprise visit from an EastEnders actor.

On Friday, October 11, Nouvélle Lounge enjoyed the company of actor Kellie Bright, best known for her role as Linda Carter in the BBC soap.

Bright also featured as 'Me Julie' in the film 'Ali G In Da House' among other TV shows.

"It was nice to have her in, it created more of a buzz in the restaurant which made the night more lively," he said.

Following the visit, a post on the Nouvélle Lounge Facebook read: "Typical weekend at Nouvélle, you never know who you might see."

This is the third cast member from EastEnders to dine at Nouvélle and their sister restaurant Samrat, with Toby-Alexander Smith, who plays Gray Atkins, and Max Bowden, who starred as Ben Mitchell, also popping by for a meal.

The owner confirmed that Bright told him 'it was the best curry I've ever had'. Mohammed also suggested that an upgrade was coming to the restaurant soon.

He added: "We're hoping to open a new bar area before Christmas, if not, it will be early 2025."
