Herts County Showground played host to hundreds of proud runners as they raised a mammoth amount during the Herts 10k, 5k and fun run in aid of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
A total of 660 people signed up to run, raising an incredible £45,000 between them - with sponsorship still coming in.
This year’s event, on Sunday, October 6, saw runners choose from a range of distance options including the traditional 10k plus a 5k and 1k family fun run.
The 10k route was the most popular with 446 runners signing up. A further 92 runners bought tickets for the 5k race and 82 people registered for the new family fun run.
Emma Stewart, events manager at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, said: “It was an exciting year for the Herts 10k with a new venue and new distance options for runners to choose from.
"We were delighted to see regular runners returning to the event and new runners embracing the additional 5K and fun run options."

Stewart expressed her gratitude to those involved and to the event sponsors: Sherrards Solicitors, PB Donoghue and Bottrills Solicitors for contributing to the runs success.
"Every penny raised will be used to provide vital hospice care services for local people living with a life-limiting illness," she added.
Despite some poor weather, runners spirits were not damped as they arrived for the start of the race. A warm-up led by Jo Handcock from Everyone Active gave everybody the chance to get race ready.
The 10K runners left the starting line at 10am with the first finisher crossing the line 37 minutes later.
The results of the 10K race are:
Male
- Patrick Hawker – 37:03
- Chris Dennell – 40:13
- Toby Turk – 40:29
Female
- Kate Dixon – 45:39
- Caitlin Eckley – 46:09
- Ellen Docherty – 46:17
5K runners also left at 10am to run one lap of the Herts 10K circuit and the family fun run took place at 9.30am.
