- M25 traffic was held near junction 22 (for London Colney/St Albans) after a car caught fire.
- Traffic was released shortly afterwards, although the clockwise slip road at junction 22 remained closed for some time. This has since reopened.
- Two separate car breakdowns later closed a clockwise lane and a lane of the The A1 southbound entry slip from the M25. Both have also reopened as of 4.30pm, when this live blog closed.
- Delays remain for clockwise journeys on the motorway.
- Herts Police were called to the scene of the fire at 12.21pm and put a full closure in place.
