Drivers in Harpenden are facing delays this morning due to planned gas works.
Hertfordshire Highways has reported congestion on the A1081 for Luton Road since just before 9am, with the disruption ongoing.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the queue and seek alternative arrangements to avoid disruption.
AA Traffic maps show delays, with temporary traffic lights in place between the junctions for Douglas Road and High Street.
