St Albans and Harpenden residents have been urged to brace for flooding, with alerts issued for two major rivers.
The River Ver and the River Lee are both subject to government warnings today (September 23).
Flooding is "expected" from the Lee, while the Ver faces "possible" flooding.

Residents have been urged to "act now" and put flood plans into place, including avoiding walking through the water.
Low lying land and roads are likely to be the worst affected.

Weather conditions are expected to improve later this afternoon and officials are monitoring the situation.
The Met Office has put an amber warning in place for West Hertfordshire - more severe than the yellow warning implemented for much of the country.
Wet weather is set to continue throughout today, with the warning in place until 9pm.
