There are long delays for St Albans drivers this morning after heavy rainfall and flooding across Hertfordshire and the East of England.

A weather warning is in place after downpours that are impacting motorists this morning (September 23).

Long delays have been reported on Harpenden Road, with authorities warning of lengthy waits on A1801 southbound, following a bout of "adverse weather".

Drivers have been urged to plan ahead to avoid the queues.

There have also been delays for commuters travelling by train this morning.
