A Hemel Hempstead man has been charged with theft and assault following an incident in Redbourn last month.
Martin Nevin has been bailed following an investigation by the Harpenden Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).
The incident occurred at the Premier Convenience Store in Redbourn on August 11.
Working with police from Hemel Hempstead, the NPT were able to make an arrest on August 23.
Nevin has now been charged and will appear in court at a later date.
