St Albans boxer Christian Fetti has hailed the support from his hometown after securing an impressive victory in his second professional fight.

Christian, 22, won plaudits from pundits for a 'classy' performance as he defeated Joshua Ocampo by unanimous decision at London's York Hall on Friday night (September 6).

The featherweight boxer is now 2-0 in his professional career, following an earlier victory over Eliecer Quezada at the same venue.

Reflecting on Friday night's victory, he said: "Once again the support from St Albans was truly amazing, it was great to see so many people there.

"I knew I hurt him in the first round which made him not want to stand and trade shots with me.

"I stayed focused and got the win - onto the next one!"

Despite these big dreams, Christian and father Stuart have kept their feet planted on the ground, attributing his success to years spent training at St Albans & London Colney ABC.

"Christian boxed really well against a very experienced opponent, not rushing his work."

While this was only Christian's second fight on the professional stage, his opponent was stepping into the ring for the 40th time at this level.

Christian recently signed a multi-fight deal with Queensbury Promotions, joining forces with legendary promoter Frank Warren, a man whose stable of fighters includes Tyson Fury.

This fight was his first under the Queensbury umbrella and was screened live to a national audience on TNT Sports and Discovery +.
