A St Albans restaurant has been nominated for a prestigious award at the 2024 Prestige Curry Awards.
Nouvellè Lounge in Wycombe Place, Marshalswick, has made the final shortlist for the Best Restaurant in Southeast England category.
The restaurant has been no stranger to success since its opening in 2022, scooping two awards - Restaurant of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at last year's Enjoy St Albans Food and Drink Festival awards.
Nouvellé Lounge describes itself as a "premium Indian restaurant and bar", and could be set for regional success after its shortlisting by the Prestige Curry Awards.
Asif Iqbal, founder and chairman of the awards, said: "It brings me great joy to see such exceptional talent and dedication being recognized.
"Owner Mohammed Shoohan Choudhury and his team have truly impressed with their outstanding cuisine, impeccable service and unwavering commitment to excellence.
"This recognition is well-deserved, and we congratulate them on this significant achievement."
Mr Choudhury - who also owns Samrat in London Road - reacted to the nomination with a post on social media, writing: "This incredible recognition is a testament to our dedicated team and the amazing community that supports us every day.
"We’re proud to represent the Southeast and are excited to see what the future holds."
The awards ceremony will take place on October 21 at Watford's Hilton Hotel.
