Residents have been left "shocked" following fly-tipping incident at a children's playground in Stevenage.

Following improvements, the park on Chancellors Road was reopened on Friday, August 2, as part of Stevenage Borough Council's rolling budget to refurbish community parks and spaces.

However, residents have noticed "concrete remnants" only a "three metres away" from the refurbished play area - creating "potential danger" for children.

An anonymous resident questioned "who is going to clear it up?" and requested councillors searched for the "culprits".

Pictures provided show piles of concrete hidden behind the surrounding shrubbery.

According to residents, "cuts" have also been made to the surrounding trees and bushes to "hide" the concrete.
