Residents have been left "shocked" following fly-tipping incident at a children's playground in Stevenage.
Following improvements, the park on Chancellors Road was reopened on Friday, August 2, as part of Stevenage Borough Council's rolling budget to refurbish community parks and spaces.
However, residents have noticed "concrete remnants" only a "three metres away" from the refurbished play area - creating "potential danger" for children.
An anonymous resident questioned "who is going to clear it up?" and requested councillors searched for the "culprits".
Pictures provided show piles of concrete hidden behind the surrounding shrubbery.
According to residents, "cuts" have also been made to the surrounding trees and bushes to "hide" the concrete.
A Stevenage Borough Council spokesperson said, “The council is aware of the fly-tipping incident in Chancellors Park. Enquiries are ongoing and in the meantime arrangements are being made for the items to be removed.”
Seven other parks have been refurbished during Stevenage £455,000 scheme and no other fly-tipping has been reported.
