St Albans has been named as the best commuter 'town' in and around London, according to new research.
Property giants OnTheMarket analysed Google search data, as well as factors including distance to the city centre, transport links, nearby schools and other amenities to decide the best commuter towns for London.
St Albans makes the list for its close proximity to the capital, good transport links and the amenities that make it a popular choice for commuters.
Announcing the results of its survey, OnTheMarket said: "Located just 26 miles north of central London, St Albans is a historical city with a modern twist.
"St Albans has become quite the up-and-coming place for commuters, as while the city is typically known for its Roman heritage and stunning cathedral, it also has a vibrant city centre with plenty of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. "
