Sala Thai Kitchen opened its doors to hungry customers in St Albans last week.

Replacing Alloro Italian at 5a High Street, the new eatery launched with a promise to "cook with passion" and offers dishes with fresh seasonal vegetables and meats, as well as traditional Thai herbs and spices.

Having welcomed customers last Thursday (August 15), owner Thippawan Rashleigh is happy with his first week at the helm.

He said: "The opening went very well and we had great feedback from the customers.

"We also did some free samples outside the restaurant and everyone seemed to really enjoy them."
