The website says their goal is to "improve any insecurities you may encounter and offer beauty services that make you feel more like you."
The shop takes its name from founder Matilda May Martin, who has run it as an independent facial aesthetics business since 2021.
Saturday's opening marks a step forward for the business, becoming a fully fledged clinic, just a short walk from Harpenden station.
The salon will be open six days a week (closed on Sunday), with opening times varying throughout the week.
