A taxi driver who drove wrong way down M1 near Hemel Hempstead, before testing positive for cannabis and cocaine, has been bailed.
The Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit confirmed they stopped the driver at Junction 8 in the early hours of Monday (August 12).
He was seen driving in the wrong direction down the motorway, and then tested positive for cocaine and cannabis after being drug tested by officers.
"He gets a 0 star review from us. Hopefully he had a five-star trip to custody," the BCH Road Policing Unit joked on their X account.
He was arrested, but Herts police have now confirmed he has been bailed, with enquiries set to continue.
