Five planning applications are among the public notices that St Albans residents should be aware of this week.

1. Gainsborough Avenue
An application has been made for a detached garage at 15 Gainborough Avenue.
This would follow the demolition of the existing garage at the property.

2. Azalea Close
Plans have been submitted for a singe storey rear extension at 30 Azalea Close in London Colney.
The application also includes provision for new windows.

3. Jennings Road
A proposal has been put forward for the construction of a single storey side and rear extension as well as a first floor rear extension at 2a Jennings Road.
This would be after the demolition of the existing conservatory at the property.

4. Verulam Road
An application has been submitted for a two storey and single storey rear extension at 60 Verulam Road.
The plans also include front facing roof light, the removal of the chimney and alterations to openings.

5. Batchwood Sports Centre
Finally, plans have been submitted for new Padel courts at Batchwood Sports Centre.
The application seeks permission for the construction of a padel tennis facility with a canopy.
