A new Mediterranean restaurant in St Albans is set to open its doors later this month.

Vourla will be moving in at 3-5 The Colonnade on Verulam Road, next to The Pudding Stop.

Having announced plans to open back in January, the new eatery has confirmed it will welcome its first customers later this month.

The new restaurant will focus on Aegean cuisine and serve up a menu consisting of modern Mediterranean food.

A spokesperson for Vourla said: "We’re focused on bringing a fresh and contemporary dining experience to the area, featuring a variety of delicious starters, seafood and steaks inspired by the vibrant flavours and ingredients of the Mediterranean region."

While details are still being finalised, an exact opening date is expected to be confirmed soon.

It's a busy summer for restaurant openings on Verulam Road, with stylish music-led food and wine restaurant Hazéls having a strong opening last month.

Vourla is currently looking for staff to join the team, and applications can be submitted by emailing info@vourla.co.uk.
