Tesla is set to open its first Hertfordshire showroom, with customers expected to flock to the new site in St Albans.

The 16,000sqft Lyons Way site is set to welcome customers for the first time on August 3, with the company saying the decision has been "taken in response to the ever-growing demand for electric vehicles and sustainable infrastructure in the UK".

A grand opening event is set to be held from 11am to 4pm, with customers having the chance to test drive the Model Y, the upgraded Model 3, and the recently released Model 3 Performance.

Those who do take a test drive have the chance to win an extended drive in a Tesla and an exclusive goodie bag.
