An out of control bonfire sparked a huge blaze in Smug Oak Lane, with three fire engines needed to control it.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue service were called to reports the bonfire shortly after 3pm today (July 30).
Two fire engines from Watford and St Albans stations were sent to the scene, with a third deployed later.

Upon arrival, they found a container set alight in a stud farm.
They had a difficult task on their hands dealing with the fire on a very hot day, with temperatures topping 30 degrees.
This led to a restricted water supply for firefighters tackling the blaze.
Smug Oak Road and Radlett Road were temporarily closed to allow them to set up a water supply to fight the fire with hose reels.
Assistant Chief Fire officer Mark Barber expressed his disappointment that "one vehicle chose to ignore the closure, driving through at high speed putting themselves and our firefighters at risk.”
The fire was out by 5.10pm and no injuries were reported.
