A popular waffle business has celebrated a successful start to life as a physical shop, welcoming more than 1,000 customers to its new St Albans home.
Waffle Wands launched a pop up shop in the Maltings Shopping Centre this past Saturday (July 13).
The business was set up in 2015 by brother and sister team Louie and Sophie, initially specialising in weddings.
Having provided stalls at events for corporate clients including the Football Association, Warner Brothers and the University of Oxford, Waffle Wands took a step into the world of physical retail, with a venue in its St Albans home.

Louie told the Herts Ad that the opening weekend was "fantastic" and "everything we could have hoped for."
He said: "I want to give a thank you to everyone who’s visited so far and we look forward to welcoming more people in.
"It’s by no means the finished article as we were given a bit of a hurry up during the build, so we have exciting new products coming such as Stroopwafels that will be made in house and pressed fresh on the day."
The business is known for its freshly baked warm waffles with a variety of toppings, as well as pancakes, crumbles and S'mores.
Despite the launch of the shop, they'll continue to provide stalls at festivals and events, including this Sunday's Folk by the Oak event at Hatfield House.
