With the summer holidays right around the corner, Verulamium Splash Park has opened for another year.
Always a signifier of summer in St Albans, the park opened yesterday (July 15) and will be open every day until September 8.
With most schools breaking up for the long six weeks holiday at the end of this week, the park gives children a chance to enjoy the outdoors, and hopefully soak up some good weather.

Run by Everyone Active and St Albans City and District Council, the park boasts a variety of fountains and other water features for children and their families.
Families will be hoping for an upturn in the weather, after a soggy start to summer that has threatened to turn the season into a damp squib.
But the forecast for this week is looking up, with highs of 28 degrees on Friday, just as schools close their gates for the summer.
The park is open from 10am until 6pm each day, with no need to book in advance.
