A teenager from St Albans will represent England at a major equestrian event next month after being called up for the The Home International Endurance Championship.
Leola Hammond,15, has been selected for the event on August 10 and 11 in Kilkenny, Ireland after an impressive start to her career on the field.
Along with her nine-year-old Welsh pony Mowie, Leola won bronze at this year's Golden Horseshoe Ride.
Leola said: “I am so excited to represent England this year with my Welsh pony Sarum Road Runner.
"We both love getting out and about competing, and Mowie loves the challenges that rides give and getting me home safe.”
Starting her career in 2022, Leola is yet to be eliminated from a ride.
You can support Leola and the team by donating to their crowdfunding effort.
