TEDx is making a return to St Albans later this year, with speakers announced and tickets on sale.
Taking place at the Abbey Theatre on Wednesday, October 16, with 2024's theme of curiosity is set to inspire talk-goers.
Among those speaking at the event will be James Whittle and Tom Caulfield from The Tempest Two, who in 2015 decided to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean with no previous experience.
Rachel Oxborough, an art psychotherapist will also be giving a talk.
"We are excited to bring TEDx to St Albans, a vibrant city which is the home to many great minds and inspirational leaders, in what is a very accessible format of delivering talks and sparking debate that everyone can get involved in," said TEDx St Albans co-organiser and Wagada Digital CEO, Cheryl Luzet.
"We hope to embed this event into the St Albans calendar of yearly events to nurture and inspire local talent."
Fellow co-organiser, Amy Burnett, added: "TEDx is all about ideas, community and impact, all things which I believe the population of St Albans feels passionately about.
"I’m really excited that we are able to bring this event to the city, and am looking forward to our community working together to make it an amazing day."
